Miniature Stained Glass Workshop
Average Size of the pieces: 1 1/2"x1 1/2"
2016
This workshop was held at D. Thomas Fine Miniatures in Hastings-On-Hudson, New York. For this 1/12 scale workshop, I prepared a sheet for each participant with several window designs they could choose from. They then picked colored cellophane, placed it over the template, and traced out the parts of the window. By tracing and layering different colors of cellophane onto a clear base, the participants built their windows. Next, they leaded their stained glass by using dimensional paint. To finish the window, each participant constructed and painted a wooden frame around their stained glass window. Finally, a chain is adhered to the back of the frame to finish the piece.
