Tiger Swallowtail Fairy Specimen
6"x6"x2 1/2"
2016
The fairy in this work was constructed using HO scale (1:87), model railroad, styrene body parts. This figure was assembled by selecting various body parts, gluing them together and painting the body with acrylics. Wings were created by stamping a wing pattern onto laminated sheets of cellophane. The wings are then cut out and adhered to the body. A pin is run through the body and into the foamcore backing of the frame to resemble entomology displays.
