With this unit, students identify the colors yellow and red as well as shapes like circles and rectangles. For Rectangle Tacos, we read "Dragons Love Tacos" and used yellow markers to color our color diffusing circles. Students then cut rectangle fillings for their tacos. For Shape Pizza, we read "Pete the Cat's Perfect Pizza Party" and used red to paint our giant circles. Students then glue on more circles and cut rectangle cheese and a topping of their choice.
