Steampunk Fairy Door Workshop

This workshop was held at D. Thomas Fine Miniatures in Hastings-On-Hudson, New York. For this 1/12 scale workshop, participants were given a wooden door and a pre-notched door bar I had prepared ahead of time. During the workshop the participants assembled the cross bar, working gear, and brackets. They also painted their doors, and decorated them with a steampunk theme. For a final touch, there was a selection of steampunk themed backgrounds they could choose from to adhere to the inside of the door frame. When the gear is turned, the cross bar unlocks the door to reveal an alternate dimension inside.
